With a unique and lively history to tell, the Park City Historical Society & Museum embarked on a major expansion project, with newly-designed exhibits in its historic buildings and a new addition. Exhibits bring to life the stories of an independent, spirited community and the economic, political, and social structures that set it apart from other Western communities.
Interactive experiences take visitors back to the boom and bust days of mining and introduce them to the rich and diverse cultures that resulted from a mining-dependent community. A key attraction is a re-created “mine wall,” running the height of the museum’s three floors and revealing an entire mining landscape, complete with tunnels, mining equipment and operations. Exhibits also feature key artifacts from the museum’s extensive collection of the past 20 years.
