Discovery Museum

Travel to the top of a 50’ Douglas fir, and see the forest like never before.

The focus is on forests at the Discovery Museum. Forests provide necessary resources, ecological value and recreation destinations, and there is a need to manage them sustainably. Step inside to discover forestry in the Pacific Northwest and how it relates to forests around the world. The completely re-designed 13,000 square foot museum contains immersive environmental exhibits that reveal the diversity of forests and provide an understanding of their complex care and management issues.

Our world-class exhibits are designed to illustrate that forests are amazing places, as well as vitally important to our daily lives.
